New and Improved Paralysis.org
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) has redesigned its paralysis.org Internet site.
“This redesigned site is fresh and vibrant,” says Sam Maddox, Knowledge Manager for the PRC.
“Visiting the site will still offer deep resources, but it will be much easier and, we hope, more enjoyable. Plus, we have added features to enhance the usefulness of the information.”
Among the new features are PRC-produced educational videos, which have been formatted to stream on paralysis.org. These are the first of what will be a full library of videos. Included are an overview of the PRC, a report on using a computer without the use of one’s hands, and a look at independent living centers and the services they offer.
Also included on the new paralysis.org are short profiles of people affected by paralysis. These are people who have used tools and resources to make their lives full and meaningful.
Other new material includes a column by Brooke Ellison and a “New Paralysis Toolkit” for people who have recently come into the world of paralysis.
