Chariots of Destiny

"Chariots of Destiny"
is an organisation based in Nairobi, Kenya. It was started by Casey
Marenge to create a much-needed difference in the transport sector for
people living with physical disabilities.
After a tragic road accident left Casey quadriplegic [paralyzed from the shoulders down] , and fully dependent on a wheelchair,

                    Casey
saw the need to start Chariots of destiny with the aim to provide
wheelchair accessible vehicles that would facilitate in the
transportation of people on wheelchairs as well as those with physical
disabilities.

Stand Strong Again

Action sports such as motocross,
skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding and BMX have become an important
part of the fabric that is our youth-oriented society. More and more
people are entering this world on a daily basis for a variety of
reasons. Some are just looking for an interesting way to get exercise;
some are finding a way to quench their thirst for an adrenaline rush
and still others are looking for fame and fortune. Whatever the motive,
everyone of these participants faces potentially significant and life
altering risks everyday.

We believe that everyone that participates in action sports deserves to have a foundation

in place that will provide a solid source of support to help those injured and in need.

Stand Strong Again is desgined to be that foundation.

Thumbs Up! The Mike Utley Foundation, Finding a Cure for Paralysis
The Mike Utley Foundation organizes many fundraisers
throughout the year. Without the help of sponsors and
volunteers these events would not be the success that they
are.

The Determined2heal Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation. The foundation was created after Josh Basile, a Maryland teenager, suffered a spinal cord injury in Bethany Beach, Delaware during the summer of 2004. The accident left Josh, a former college tennis player, paralyzed from the shoulders down. His experiences motivated him to make a difference in the lives of others.

The Todd Crawford Foundation to Cure Paralysis, Inc.

The
Todd Crawford Foundation was started in August of 2006 with the purpose
of raising money for spinal cord injury (SCI) research. I was
injured
in August of 2002. In the four years between my injury and the
creation of the Foundation I received a tremendous amount of support
from
my family and friends. Much of the support came in the form of
money raised through various fund raisers. I have been able to
accomplish
many things since then because of this support. I
am extremely grateful for this. Now I want to use the momentum of
this support and direct it
towards research on SCI. This research is a immensely important to me and millions of others around the world.

Each year an estimated 500,000 persons sustain brain and spinal cord
injuries in the United States. The most frequent causes of these
injuries are motor vehicle crashes, falls, sports and recreation,
especially diving, and violence. Children and teens are at high-risk
for these devastating injuries, many of which are preventable.
ThinkFirst, the National Injury Prevention Programs award-winning
public education efforts target this high-risk age group.
