BOCA RATON, Fla., and WASHINGTON, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Reality Racing,
Inc. and Paralyzed Veterans of America, a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization, announced today a cross-promotional partnership to
benefit America's paralyzed heroes.
"Paralyzed Veterans strives to ensure that no American, especially those
who risked their lives to protect the freedoms we take for granted every day,
is denied access to employment, education, cultural activities or community
life because of Disability," stated Mark C. Dowis, Associate Executive
Director of Marketing and Development, Paralyzed Veterans. "We are extremely
pleased that Reality Racing has taken up our cause and made it their own."
The partnership will promote the SpeedyTags awareness campaign --
"military dog tags" uniquely designed for race fans imprinted with the names
and likenesses of some of the biggest names in racing - in an effort to raise
much needed funds to support our nation's veterans with spinal cord injuries.
Lee F. Schaefer, President of Reality Racing Inc stated, "Paralyzed
Veterans of America is a very worthy organization. We wanted to give something
back to them for everything they do and helping to promote their projects,
products and services is our way of thanking the brave men and women who have
been wounded in the service of our country. We are honored by our association
with them and are including them in various ways in Reality Racing -- The
Rookie Challenge ... from paralyzed veterans waving start flags for races to
our contestants proudly wearing their logo."
Reality Racing -- The Rookie Challenge is scheduled to premiere on Spike
TV in May. Each 60-minute episode of the series will begin on Saturday
mornings at 9:00 A.M. Eastern Time as part of Spike's high-revving,
testosterone-packed Powerblock, and will be telecast in the United States, its
territories and possessions, including Puerto Rico and Canada.
