If your only income besides SSI is the money you make from your
job, then we don’t count the first $85 in earnings you get each
month. One-half of what you earn over $85 is deducted from your SSI
check.
If you have other income besides earnings (such as a
Social Security check), then we don’t count the first $65 in
earnings you get each month. One-half of what you make over $65 is
deducted from your SSI payments. But, $20 of your other income, such as
your Social Security check, is not counted either.
